1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Rewind Yarn mobile application (“the App”), provided by Stichting Le@f (“we”, “us”, or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Rewind Yarn is a mobile utility designed to assist users with reclaiming yarn from second-hand knitwear, estimating yarn yardage, tracking crochet/knitting project steps, and discovering crafting patterns.

3. Disclaimer regarding AI Estimations and Crafting

Calculations of yarn yardage, fibre content identification, and unravelability assessments provided by the App are automated estimates based on typical garment weights, standard fibre density tables, and optical recognition. Variations in knitting tension, garment washing history, shrinkage, and seam construction may cause actual yarn yield to differ from estimated figures. We encourage users to verify details before cutting or unravelling garments.

4. Intellectual Property

The App, including its proprietary deterministic pattern engine, design tokens, trademarks, logos, and original pattern instructions, is the intellectual property of Stichting Le@f. Curated vintage patterns included in the App are either original works or derived from verified public-domain materials.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to abuse, reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to exploit the App, its backend APIs, or its recognition endpoints. We reserve the right to limit or terminate access to online AI recognition quotas in cases of abusive or excessive automated usage.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Stichting Le@f shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the App or any garment reclaimed using the App's guidance.

7. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of The Netherlands, without regard to conflict of law principles.
